It passes all self tests and prints out a system check paper. It does all it needs to except prime. It has a 2018 Repair sticker and this could have possibly been the matter. In need of test cartidges which are easily available online in the following two tests: Collagen / Epinephrine and Collagen / ADP test cartridges. I am selling as-is because it navigates onscreen menus and the like but will not prime. This system is very easy to use with a few simple know how tips. When I first recieved the machine it wasn't working properly. The printer's paper roll was not on properly. I adjusted the roll to fit on the brackets, and it was fine. Then the carousel was stuck. The previous owner had put an extra cartridge holder in the carousel so it affected the spin. Easy fix. Next was the injection bottle in the dispenser. It needs to be in place and the handle competely in the down position. Then you are test ready! However, upon further testing it will not prime. I am unsure what the matter is. May need maintenance. The PFA-100 Analyzer quickly and easily measures platelet plug formation in a small, whole blood sample (<1 mL) and reports a ”Closure Time” in 5-8 minutes. It is a unique system that challenges platelets under high shear flow conditions similar to the physiologic environment in which platelets normally function. It detects inherited-, acquired- or induced- platelet dysfunction by uniquely simulating, in vitro, the function of platelets in Primary Hemostasis.

Condition & Testing
This device is in good cosmetic and excellent working condition with normal signs of wear from previous use. The front panel is a bit loose but does not affect the function of the device. Otherwise, The printer works and is perfect. The carousel spins and the machine is test ready. All buttons respond to prompts and easily navigates on-screen menus. Powers on and passes self-tests. Prints out a copy with the version of software, serial number, date and time (needs to be set), letting you know that the system is initializing. It runs a check on memory, vacuum chuck, carousel drive, and incubation system. Then a high and low flag of the two tests it is capable of performing. The LEDs are bright and legible and let you know that the system is test ready. No further testing has been done as it will not prime. Literature is available online.
