Thaler of 2 Marks minted in Hamburg. Most of the coins of this type were heavily circulated and later replaced by French occupational forces with newly coined restrikes. French Marshall Davout used old but altered dies to produce large amount of occupational silver coins the same nomination ( 32 Schillings) but altered date (1809 instead 1808). Here we are offering for sale ORIINAL Hamburg 32 Schilling coin which is extremely rare to see in a high grade.
Coin has clear fields with some die weakness on obverse. Possibly dipped. Graded as MS 61 by NGC.
